Three for Thursday

  1. After two hours on the phone with some excellent Apple Care+ advisors, my iMac is back to being a modern computer. I was trying to avoid an erase-and-install of Big Sur — which got me in this mess to begin with — but in the end, it resolved the problem. Back in business with a snappy computer.
  2. I’ve always been a huge fan of Michael McDonald and the Doobie Brothers. On Apple Music today I found this interview with McDonald. Great stuff about his work with Steely Dan.
  3. Happy 71st birthday to the great Bobby McFerrin.

Scrambled Eggs, Clearing the Decks, and Doodle Jump

Three things to wrap-up this weekend:

  1. My friend Doug calls scrambled eggs “lazy-man’s eggs.” He might change his tune after checking out the work, and ingredients, that some chefs put into whipping up some extra-creamy scrambled eggs. Spoiler alert: Some use cubes of butter.
  2. Take an hour a week for yourself to clear the decks — and your mind.
  3. Doodle Jump was one of the first apps I downloaded to my iPhone 4, and 10 years later it’s just as fun. The game takes no time to learn and the developers keep adding clever new themes. Not bad for a 99¢ investment.

Adios, February.
