Libby

Even before the pandemic, I was loving the Libby app on my phone and iPad. Over the past year, I’ve used it even more.

If you have a public library card, you enter the number into the app and, boom, you’re ready to reserve and check out digital books and audiobooks from your library. You can choose to read the books in the app or on your Kindle.

The two best features of app are the notifications when the due date is approaching and the automatic book returns.

I used to go first to Amazon to search for a book I wanted to read. Now, I tap on Libby and either borrow it or place a hold.

It’s hard to beat free.
