Just when I think I understand a tiny bit about cryptocurrencies, I read something else that confounds me.
For example, this week I read two interesting takes on the impact the mining of these currencies is having on the environment — and it’s not good.
Then I read this “now-wait-just-a-second” angle today and am now confused on both fronts.
THEN, I read this about the Chia blockchain.
I’m not looking to invest in Bitcoin or any other of these currencies; I’m just looking to understand them at the most basic level.
Maybe it’s time to give up … for now.
