Yeah, so … Big Sur has not treated my Intel iMac so well lately. So, last night I decided to first reinstall MacOS Mojave and then update it to Catalina.
This is the first time that I’ve regretted updating to the latest Mac OS. Just too many glitches to mention, but it seems having “Macintosh HD” and “Macintosh HD – Data” isn’t helping.
My M1 MacBook Air is, for now, working fine on Big Sur. Unfortunately, there’s no going back to Catalina or anything earlier on M1 Macs.
Update: I wasn’t able to update from Mojave to Catalina; OS 10.15.1 was available, but not 10.15. So, I’m back on Big Sur and hope it just plays nice.
