Internet Archive ⚾️ Goodies

Where do you begin to describe a site as aptly named as the Internet Archive? It’s surprisingly tough.

Whenever I find myself there it’s because I was referred to it somewhere on the Web. Last month I found this page of old Major League Baseball radio broadcasts, and just the other day I stumbled on this page containing baseball simulation computer games from the 1980s and ‘90s — including the first and only computer baseball game I had: MicroLeague Baseball.

The best part is that you can play these games in emulation on your current computer.

As for the radio calls, take a look and listen to the Sept. 8, 1962 Mets at Colt .45s game or the Tigers at Orioles from Sept. 29, 1963.

There’s so much to uncover on the site, you have to just start nosing around.
